About the event

Please join the HRTPO’s Citizens Advisory Committee for a meeting at The Dundee Citrus Growers Association facility in south Polk County. The meeting will include a discussion of the Central Florida Regional Planning Council’s ongoing study to better understand the impacts of the changing agricultural landscape in the region. Attendees will also have the opportunity to tour THE facility, which is the largest in Florida to use the Citrus Under Protective Screen (CUPS) method, a high-tech protected agriculture approach that encloses citrus trees in specialized screen structures to help exclude the Asian citrus psyllid, the insect that spreads citrus greening disease.

All meetings of the HRTPO are open to the public.

Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, income, or family status. Persons who require special accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act or persons who require translation services (free of charge)…
