Public Comment Now Open: HRTPO Transportation Improvement Program

The Heartland Regional Transportation Planning Organization is seeking public comment on the Draft Transportation Improvement Program for Fiscal Years 2026/27–2030/31.

The TIP identifies transportation projects programmed for funding across DeSoto, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Highlands, and Okeechobee Counties, including roadway, bridge, bicycle, pedestrian, aviation, transit, and transportation disadvantaged projects.

The public comment period began May 15, 2026. The Draft TIP is scheduled to be presented to the HRTPO Board for adoption on June 17, 2026.

Community members are encouraged to review the draft document and provide comments before adoption.
