Purpose

The LRTP provides a common vision for the community’s future transportation needs and guides the investment of public funds in transportation facilities, addressing a timeline of 20 or more years.

The Heartland Region 2050 LRTP is organized around two key tasks that guide the development of a long-range, multimodal program:

Matches needs to expected funding from federal, state, and local sources
